Filipino style combat for film and the stage!
Ever wanted to throw a punch like Jason Bourne? Have you dreamed about swinging a machete around and fighting off multiple attackers like Eli?
Eskrima is the deadly, economical, and beautiful Filipino martial art behind more and more cinematic fight scenes, including the Bourne movies and Book of Eli.
Eskrim-HA! is a unique four-hour workshop taught by Eskrima Guros Mark Basel, Federico Malibago and fight choreographer Zac Delventhal. Together they will teach you how to execute many of the same techniques you’ve seen in the movies, safely and with the appearance of real danger. The workshop will conclude with an original choreographed scene focused on fighting off multiple armed attackers.
All participants will receive a DVD recording of the workshop at no additional charge.
Fighters of all skill levels (including none at all!) are encouraged to attend.
